NIFTY EOD Analysis as on 30th June 2010

Green Candle, kind of piercing bottom candle in a short downtrend from 22nd June 2010.Volume was comparatively high today than previous 4 days.
CMF is showing +ve bias compared to yesterday(+).
ADX is flat showing that still it is not clear who is having a upper hand- the bulls or bears?
EMA3 is above above EMA13 (+).
Slope of EMA 13 is up.(+)  EMA 13 of at 5260 level
EMA13>EMA39.(+)

Answers for Yesterday
Bulls charged in and closed above the mid point of yesterday's candle. Is this an indication that bulls will push the NIFTY higher in day's to come?
If we go buy candlestick pattern, we should see some upmove. Also, today's volume is also supporting it.
So, we should see some +ve bias now.

Interpreting Stocks - 29th June 2010

NIFTY EOD Analysis as on 29th June 2010

Big red candle with no upper wick. Found support at 5230 level support line. Volume was higher than yesterday.
CMF is showing -ve bias compared to yesterday(~).
Stochastics is showing +ve bias(+) and is falling from OB area.
EMA3 is above above EMA13 (+).
Slope of EMA 13 is up.(+)  EMA 13 of at 5250 level
EMA13>EMA39.(+)

Answers for Yesterday
Bears came in charging today and it was all bears day today. The close was below the level of 5300. So, the congestion at 5300 level is proving to be vital. Today's close was near the support level of 5230 level and the EMA 13 level. Now, either we will see the break of support at this point and then it will be a correction or we are going to see some sideways movement now.

Interpreting Stocks - 28th June 2010

NIFTY EOD Analysis as on 28th June 2010

Green candlestick which almost completely overshadowed the previous day's candle, showing bulls REALLY want to break out from this resistance level around 5300. Volume was low today compared to the previous day.
CMF is showing +ve bias compared to yesterday(+).
Stochastics is showing +ve bias(+) and is in OB area.
EMA3 is above above EMA13 (+).

Answers for Yesterday
Bulls want to break free and move higher, but volume is not supporting yet. Unless we see some high volume, bears will always come to haunt the upmove.

Interpreting Stocks - 25th June 2010

NIFTY EOD Analysis as on 25th June 2010

A big red candle which broke the support level around 5300 level and closed below it. But, volume was low on the breakdown today. So, we need confirmation to validate this as a true breakdown.
CMF is showing -ve bias compared to yesterday(-).
Stochastics is showing -ve bias(-).
EMA3 is above above EMA13 (+).
Slope of EMA 13 is up.(+)  EMA 13 of at 5238 level
EMA13>EMA39.(+)

Answers for Yesterday
Today's candle broke yesterday's Doji like candle's low and closed below the support level but with lower volumes. IF the breakdown was with high volumes then this could have been a trend reversal. Today's big red candle wiped out the gains during this week.
If the next candle supports the breakdown, then we may see a correction happening now.

Interpreting Stocks - 24th June 2010

NIFTY EOD Analysis as on 24th June 2010

A Doji like candle. Volume was high today. Today also, it found support at 5300 level and closed above it.
CMF is showing -ve bias compared to yesterday(~).
Stochastics is showing -ve bias(-) and is falling from OB area.
EMA3 is above above EMA13 (+).
Slope of EMA 13 is up.(+)  EMA 13 of at 5233 level
EMA13>EMA39.(+)

Answers for Yesterday
Today, it was an indecisive day and the close and open was almost same. In an uptrend, a Doji like candle above a support line has been formed now. Could this be a reversal signal? We have to wait and watch for that. I won't give this Doji like candle much points because it need to break the crucial support at 5300 level. It could be a top-reversal IF we see a candle which breaks the cupport at 5300 level. Otherwise, we are in bullish mode, but apply caution, until the high of the Doji is broken.

Interpreting Stocks - 23rd June 2010

NIFTY EOD Analysis as on 23rd June 2010

Green Candle with small upper wick and than the lower wick. Real body was small too. Volume was low today.
CMF is showing +ve bias compared to yesterday(+).

EMA3 is above above EMA13 (+).
Slope of EMA 13 is up.(+)  EMA 13 of at 5218 level

Answers for Yesterday
In today's tug of war, bears tried to pull the prices down, but found support around 5300 Level. Then, bulls came in and the close was near the day's high. So, as of now the support is acting well. If Global markets also favours upward momentum, then NIFTY will surely go up else, let's see what's in store.

Interpreting Stocks - 22nd June 2010

NIFTY EOD Analysis as on 22nd June 2010

Red Candle with low volumes showing selling pressure, but with less participation.
CMF is showing +ve bias compared to yesterday(+).
Stochastics is showing -ve bias(-) and is falling from OB area.
EMA3 is above above EMA13 (+).
Slope of EMA 13 is up.(+)  EMA 13 of at 5200 level
EMA13>EMA39.(+)

Answers for Yesterday
Bears came in today, but the intense was less as there was low volume, Also, bears couldn't break the mid-point of yesterday's candle. Also, the close was well above the 5300 level which the Bulls succeded in breaking yesterday. So, as of now the uptrend is intact. We will have to see whether bears can continue to pull down prices tomorrow.

Interpreting Stocks - 21st June 2010

NIFTY EOD Analysis as on 21st June 2010

A Big Green candle, almost a Marubozo type candlestick with no lower wick and very small upper wick showing bullish bias.
Volume was low today, even though, NIFTY broke the resistance at 5300 level and closed above it.
EMA3>EMA13>EMA39.
Slope of EMA 13 is up.(+)
Since, volumes have been low today, inspite of the buoyant global markets, i think either we are going to see a consolidation or sideways kinda movement phase or  we will go down from here(which is highly unlikely now).

Part 3 – Important Point from the book Self Discipline in 10 Days by Theodore Bryant

"I Can't Change" & Relaxation

Our behavior, emotions, intellect, and just about everything else about us, other than biological considerations, are the result of a series of choices.

2.       We as individuals can reinvent ourselves by realizing that "I don't have to be who I was yesterday. Furthermore, I do not have to do what I did yesterday." By replacing negative self-talk with positive self-talk, and by using visualization to replace undesirable subconscious messages with desirable conscious messages, you will find yourself enjoying the many fruits of self-discipline.

3.       While a positive attitude can create positive actions, the reverse is also true. Positive actions can create a positive attitude. They feed and support each other.

4.       Good luck happens when preparation meets opportunity.

5.       Power Tool: Relaxation

a)      Armed with why, you can work out a quick deal with Hyde to relax the inner conflict that occurs when a part of you wants to do something that another part of you does not want to do.

b)      Ask yourself the "Why" questions: "Why do I want to eat something instead of writing this report?" "Why do I want to watch mindless television right now?" "Why do I think that filling out this form will be so painful?" "Why am I responding this way?" And although the specific questions that you ask yourself will change according to the task you are facing, the nature of the questions will remain the same. You will need to ask yourself "Why" questions.

c)       Whenever you find yourself beginning to avoid a task that needs to be done, the situation calls for relaxation. Regardless of the nature of the task, whether you are about to write a report or start a cleaning project, a systematic relaxation effort will move you toward self-discipline.

d)      Whenever you feel Hyde pulling you away from the task you want to do, take two or three minutes to go through the following steps. The more you do it, the faster and easier it becomes.

                                            i.            Take a few deep breaths, slow your breathing, and say to yourself, "I am completely relaxed." It doesn't really matter whether you are standing, sitting, or lying down. Simply try to be as physically comfortable as the situation will allow.

ii.            Then as you continue to slow your breathing say to your-self: "I am tightening my forehead, then relaxing it. I am tightening all my facial muscles, then relaxing them. I am tightening my jaw, then relaxing it. I am tightening my neck muscles, then relaxing them." Continue to go through your major muscle groups (shoulders, arms, hands, back, stomach, etc.) first tightening then relaxing them.

iii.            Take a minute to really give your body a chance to feel relaxed. Control your breathing. Use your self-talk to support your physical relaxation. Use visualization to see yourself easily doing the task that is at hand.

iv.            Quickly ask and answer a few "Why" questions. Listen to what Hyde is saying to you. Become aware of how Hyde is trying to trick you into avoiding the task. Then counteract Hyde's influence by telling yourself the other side of the story. Be convincing, be forceful, but be relaxed. Focus on a specific immediate reward for completing the task. Use visualization, self-talk, or any other tools that feel useful.

                                           v.            Begin to take a small action step toward the task. As you get closer to the room, table, tools, or wherever you need to be to start the task, continue to control your breathing and physical state. Remind your muscles to relax. Every time you feel or hear an avoidance message from Hyde, use your self-discipline tools and techniques to replace that message with a flood of self-discipline messages. Pour it on thick.

vi.            Actually start the first step of your task. Once again, remind yourself to relax. Control your breathing. And, I repeat, every time you feel or hear an avoidance message from Hyde, use your self-discipline tools and techniques to replace that message with a flood of self-discipline messages.

Part 2 – Important Point from the book Self Discipline in 10 Days by Theodore Bryant

Understanding Subconscious Belief Systems

1.       To improve your self-discipline you need to shift your self-defeating beliefs from your subconscious into your conscious. Then and only then can you effectively deal with them.

2.       Self-discipline problems occur when people don't apply the appropriate tools that work best at a particular stage.

3.       The main four stages of the self-discipline process are:

a)      Decision to act

b)      Preparation

c)       Action

d)      Completion/Maintenance

4.       If you pay proper attention to the Decision Stage and the Preparation Stage, you maximize your chances of success at the Action Stage and the Completion/Maintenance Stage.

"All or Nothing" & Visualization

1.       The prevalent but irrational "All or Nothing" attitude is what keeps gambling houses worldwide pulling in billions. The "All or Nothing" gambler always ends up with NOTHING.

2.       Power Tool: Visualization -  All of your actions and non-actions are directed by the mental images that you create about your chosen goal or project. When you choose a goal or project, your mental images will either support your efforts or oppose your efforts.

3.       Visualization is self-talk in Hyde's favorite language. So to offset Hyde's negative influences. You need to replace Hyde's self-defeating mental images with supportive mental images. When you choose a project or goal, you can also choose mental images that make you less susceptible to Hyde's resistances while simultaneously programming your subconscious mind to motivate you and magnify your powers of perseverance.

4.       Consciously create vivid mental movies that involve your senses. Let's say that your goal is to start rising an hour earlier to exercise. Then every day for a week or two before you rise earlier for the first time, visualize yourself doing it. Hear the alarm. See yourself stretching and rising. Smell the morning. Then see yourself doing specific exercises.

5.       Practice visualization every day for a week before you go into the action stage of your project.

6.       Visualization prior to action will firm up your commitment, increase your confidence, validate your ability, motivate you, and most important, it will reduce Hyde's influence.

7.       Visualization works best when you visualize all the specifics of the activity you want to do. In your mind: see, hear, smell, taste, and touch the location, clothes, room, temperature, details, etc. Make it real. The more you practice visualization the easier it will become. So, mentally, many times a day, for a few seconds, use visualization to experience yourself doing what you want to do. Visualization is quick, easy, and remarkably effective.

"I Must Be Perfect" & Reward Systems

1.       Perfectionism weakens perseverance. And perseverance produces more achievements than talent, smarts, or luck. Indeed, the path to accomplishment lies in perseverance.

2.       Power Tool: Reward Systems  -  Rewards are the easiest, most effective psychological motivators available to get you started and keep you going until you complete your projects.
